Over a number of years (approximately 1966 to 1981) Rigby Publishers issued a series of small souvenir books covering many towns cities, regions and areas of architectural interest, including the three major cities in New Zealand, and Fiji. The general format was 64pp, with about 28 full-page drawings each with a facing page of descriptive text. Artists and authors ranged from obscure to famous. Being numerous, decorative, and small, they are eminently collectable. They can be found quite cheap ($5-$15 as a guide) and being of local interest they turn up in almost every part of Australia. This list of 175 titles is compiled from books that have passed through my hands. Some of them include a list of titles, but do not say whether these were planned or actually in print, so perhaps some of the titles listed never actually appeared. At least one title (Port Arthur) was also published by DL Distributors in paperback.
